Media glass is transforming our urban landscape, by combing cutting edge LED technology with construction-grade glass to create visually amazing, dynamic and interactive spatial experiences. LEDs are embedded into the glass directly with a solid resin. They are connected to the electronics using circuitry laser etched onto the Fluorine Tin Oxide layer on the surface of the glass. This enables the facade to maintain a transparency of up to 99.7% to create large scale, high-resolution visuals for advertising, and interactive installations, all without blocking natural light or compromising the building’s aesthetic. The Saudi Entertainment and Amusement Expo was an exciting opportunity to reconnect with industry leaders and meet new players in the field. It was great catching up with some old friends from Christie, LevelsAV, JPSS, Holovis, NMK, Conductr—all of whom continue to set the bar for innovation and excellence in the entertainment industry. Seeing such a strong UK presence at the show was especially energizing, with UK companies leading the future of entertainment tech. Particularly exciting were the cutting-edge developments I saw from ScruffyDog, KCC, and DOF Robotics. Whether it was immersive environments, show design, or robotics, each company had something unique to showcase. Intamin’s ride technology stands out as prime examples of how the industry is continuously evolving.
